He was the man of the moment when he won high praise from John Rajchman, the great scholar of the department of convergence and a Columbia University professor. He attracted attention by creating a motion poster of the movie Blades of Blood by director Lee Jun-Ik. It became a sensational issue that he signed a 5 years exclusive contract with Samsung for supply contents and Samsung released its LED TV(55 inch, 46 inch) including 3 of his works. In 2010, during the G20 meeting in Seoul, he installed one of his works in the Conference Room and Hotel where the head of each state stayed using a Samsung TV, iPad, and Galaxy Tab. It received a favorable review. His work has also been available in the Apple App store since the end of 2010. He can also be found in 《Travel in Storybook》 with Anthony Browne, an author of fairy tale stories. In addition, his works were placed in middle school text books in 2011. He placed 363rd in 'Art Price', which records the prices of 500 masterpieces from artists throughout the world.
Who is he? He is Lee Lee-nam. Lee has an eye for understanding both public codes and Eastern/Western codes. Public codes and Eastern/Western codes more than borrow famous paintings of the East and West that are well known by the public. Lee Lee-nam, a media artist, majored in sculpture in Chosun University and its master course. He bought a small monitor (17 inch) immediate after, and with most of his subjects, he made clay stop animation, namely, 'moving sculpture' video. Clay art animation 4th grade uses a mass of clay in plastic modeled by seniors of the animation department of Sunchon University in 1998. A clay man returns to a clay mass and transforms into a clay woman. Besides those works he made with his students, Lee made many animals (dog, cat, and tiger) with clay mass, too. In particular, when people watch a tiger eat its own tail, they cannot help but burst out laughing. Clay stop animation has provided a great change to Lee's work. He can work with a 'lighter' material (relieved of 'heavy' sculpture) through clay stop animation.
